Questionnaire The following questions are designed to help us match suitable puppies with suitable homes. If you feel that the questions are somewhat intrusive, please remember that this is a big commitment, not only for us, but also for you. You are making a decision to add a new member to your family for the next eleven to thirteen years. We are simply crazy about our Border Collies and want to place each puppy with its individual personality in mind. These questions will help us to determine the best puppy for you. If you feel you have additional information that you would like to share with us, please use as much extra paper as you need. What do you like best about the Border Collie? What do you like least about the Border Collie? Have you ever owned dogs before? How many at the same time and what breeds? What happened to them? How many dogs do you currently own? What are the breeds and ages of these dogs? Have you ever trained a dog before? If yes, what methods do you use? If no, what steps would you take to learn to train this dog? Do you understand the benefits of crate training, not only for house breaking purposes, but also for the safety of the dog? Describe a typical day at your house and how your Border Collie will fit in? What canine activities are you interested in? Conformation? Herding? Obedience? Agility? Flyball? Frisbee? Others? Are you currently participating in these activities? What are the ages of the children in your household? Have they grown up with dogs in the house? Where will the dog sleep at night?
